Invisible Pain is a narrative blog with personal stories, research, and commentary on issues related to chronic pain from a patient’s perspective. People that suffer from chronic pain can often become lost in the healthcare system because of challenges with diagnosis and treatments, they have multiple diseases or disorders causing pain, and pain itself is immeasurable. This can leave patients feeling invisible to their doctors and communities because they are often dismissed, doubted, or shamed for their painful realities. The Invisible Pain blog is one patient’s attempt at visualizing his own invisible pain to raise awareness and spark conversations. Please share feedback, ask questions, and share your own or your loved ones’ stories about chronic pain in the comments sections of the Posts so we can continue making pain and chronic conditions more visible together.
